Urban

For urban drivers, I’ve put together a playlist that reflects the cosmopolitan nature of towns and cities: the hustle, the bustle, the rhythms of the city.

Yes, there is music of black origin, but I don’t subscribe to the (frankly racist) definition of urban music that arose in US radio in the 80s. For me, urban music is what emerges from the hotbeds of creativity found in towns and cities, from musicians of all backgrounds. So there’s Jay-Z mixed with Benny Sings and Soul II Soul mixed with Rosie Lowe.

Listen with Jazzy B’s motto in mind: a happy face, a thumpin' bass, for a loving race.
