As world events continue to render me gobsmacked (OK, not for long), I thought I’d compile a collection of instrumentals for my latest playlist.

I’ve avoided the obvious classical music - and, anyway, one of my favourite pieces has words in it - and largely skipped the jazz genre. Largely, but not entirely.

I’ve also eschewed the obvious Dick Dale, Duane Eddy, Surfaris et al. We all know those, so I’ve dug a little deeper.

So here’s a collection of pop, rock, funk, soul, latin, jazz and combinations of one or more genres.
